Hey, writer dear.

I've been thinking of you. Have you also been keeping a two-week promise to yourself? What are you working on? How’s it going? I want to know!

It's Day 12 of #1000wordsofsummer, and as of this morning, I’ve written 12,391 words.1 I’ve had a few days when the words (including extra ones!) flowed almost effortlessly. Most days have been more labor-intensive, requiring a good amount of thinking before any words could come out. And a few days, like the very first, I had to scrape and claw my way to 1000.

Needless to say, I'm proud of myself. By the end of this week, I will have written about 16K words of my Secret Novel’s second draft.2 Not only that, thanks to my 100-word daily commitment, I'm confident I’ll keep up the momentum to finish Draft #2 sooner rather than later.

I’m really writing this thing!

And I want you to write yours—whatever it is, however unsure or nervous you might feel about it. What are the words pulsing in your heart and taking shape in your mind? What is it that you're desperate to get on the page? What’s the story you’ve been waiting to tell? The truth that you know must be said?

You’ve been preparing, both mentally and emotionally, to do this for a long time—for more than enough time. You can do this. You can commit to your writer-self in a way you haven’t before. You’re ready for your words to take you somewhere you haven’t yet been.

I’m here—willing and waiting—to help.

As unique as each writer's process is, some things are essentially universal. We feel less alone in the presence of other writers. More motivated when we’re praised and pushed. More confident as we hone our craft.

Today, I’m offering you those things and more. I invite (and encourage!) you to join Writer Dear’s paid membership.

Tell me more!

Because you’re restless where you are now. You want more—out of yourself, and for your words. You know you’re capable of a richer writing life and are ready to make it happen.

No matter your writing experience or goals, if you want to keep going, Writer Dear membership is for you.

A $30 annual membership fee gives you year-long accountability, community coaching, and skill development so you can become the writer you dream of being.

I want you to keep going because I want you to feel at least as good as I have writing this novel. Even without having achieved the end goal yet, let alone attained any sort of success (which is relative, I know I know), I am so incredibly content. I’m proud I’m pushing myself, I’m excited to continue, I’m learning so much, and I’m capable and calm throughout it all.

I’m also grateful to know and have internalized the truth: we can work hard, do scary things, and take care of ourselves all at once.

Come see how in the Writer Dear membership.

I'm ready

Thank you for being a writer. Thank you for being a reader of Writer Dear. I hope to welcome you as a member of Writer Dear soon.

~Kerry
